Verner Panton
|
|
Verner Panton created
Geometri in 1960 for the Astoria Hotel
in Trondheim, Norway; the design
blanketed the floor as carpeting and the
walls and ceilings as wallpaper.
Panton's interest in addressing all
aspects of interior design led to an
in-depth exploration of color; he
believed that color was more important
than form. Panton took vibrant primary
colors and created an explosion of color
through unorthodox contrasts and
complements.
